Lisa loves getting to help kids discover the joy of learning-especially through math & science, two of her favorite subjects. She started teaching almost 20 years ago as a preschool teacher in Flower Mound, Texas, & over the years taught everything from kindergarten to middle school. She has also led math & science camps & has done lots of tutoring along the way. No matter the age or subject, her goal is always the same: help students stay curious & excited to learn. She earned her BA in Child Psychology from Hollins University in Virginia, then came back to Texas for a Master's in Social Work from UT Arlington. She worked as a medical social worker in Dallas, then stayed home with her four daughters for nearly nine years. Later, she went back to school (again!) & earned her Master's in Teaching Mathematics from Texas Woman's University, & that's when her full-time teaching journey began! Outside of school, Lisa loves spending time with her husband of 30 years, Dan & their 4 daughters (27, 25, 22, & 21) who are all BIG fans of water polo!
