Pre-Kindergarten

Kindergarten readiness is the main objective in the fours program. An excerpt from Robert Fulghum’s book, All I Really Need To Know I Learned In Kindergarten best describes the goals of this program… “Share everything. Play fair. Don’t hit people. Clean up your mess. Don’t take things that aren’t yours. Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody. Wash your hands before you eat. Flush. Live a balance life-learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.” This program challenges children to prepare for the four areas of kindergarten readiness: academics, social, emotional, and physical. The two basic tools of learning are encouraged...curiosity and attention. We help children transition from the home-focused years of preschool to the peer-centered years of elementary school. The program nurtures self-confidence, allowing children to feel successful in life. The Jolly Phonics program, concentration on numbers and basic math concepts, a strong literacy emphasis, and encouragement of thinking skills all prepare children academically for the exciting years ahead. The 4 year old program is designed to help your child:

  • Develop self-esteem and self-control
  • Expand verbal communication skills
  • Encourage socially appropriate behavior
  • Acquire learning/problem-solving skills
  • Strengthen perceptual skills
  • Nurture creativity and imagination
  • Experience learning within a program focused on your child's individual needs
